ABOUT US
Queen’s Feminist Collective is a student-led organization at Queen’s University dedicated to advancing equity, inclusion, and empowerment for women and gender-diverse individuals. Through advocacy, education, and fundraising, we support local organizations and raise awareness about both current and historical issues impacting marginalized communities.
As the incoming co-presidents, we are committed to fostering a culture rooted in Equity, Diversity, Inclusion, and Accessibility (EDIA) and guided by intersectional values. In this spirit, we have chosen to restructure and reimagine what our club stands for—beginning with a name change. Formerly known as My Body My Business, we are now Queen’s Feminist Collective, an organization that aims to engage a broader community in conversations about empowerment, care, and justice.
We acknowledge that in the past, My Body My Business centered primarily on the experiences of white women. Moving forward, our mission is to amplify the voices and stories of women and gender-diverse individuals from all backgrounds, particularly those who have been historically underrepresented.
These principles will guide every aspect of our work—from executive hiring and event planning to partnerships and fundraising. This year, our fundraising efforts will support Kingston Interval House, an organization providing safety and resources to women, children, and gender-diverse people experiencing violence. We are deeply grateful for the ongoing support of the Queen’s community and invite you to join us—whether by applying for an executive position, volunteering, or attending our events. Together, we can continue to build a more inclusive, compassionate, and empowered community at Queen’s.
